Getting ready for the pickup
- Park elsewhere for the morning. An empty driveway beside the door is worth more to the speed of the job than anything else you can do.
- Set aside paint, solvents, propane, motor oil and pesticides — those are regulated and cannot ride in the truck. Ask and we will point you to the right free depot.
- Tires are accepted, but a per-tire fee applies at the depot; count them and mention it when you send photos.
- If there are bikes or tools you want to sell, pull them out first — once a garage is flowing it moves fast.

Garage cleanouts questions from Coquitlam
The garage is under the house at the bottom of a steep driveway. Can you load from there?
Usually we position the truck at the top or on the street and carry down and back up, because reversing a loaded box truck out of a steep Plateau driveway is not worth the risk to your paving or our brakes. It costs you nothing extra. A photo from the street tells us immediately which approach the driveway allows.
Can the old deck boards go with the garage junk?
Yes. Timber, fence panels and deck boards load with garage clutter without any issue, and one combined load is cheaper than a garage pickup plus a debris pickup. Pull out any nails-up boards if you can, or just tell us and we will handle them carefully — a stack of deck boards is normal cargo for us.
What can't go in the truck from a garage?
Paint, stains and solvents, motor oil, propane and camping fuel, pesticides, car batteries and ammunition are all regulated and cannot be hauled with general junk. Almost all of them have a free drop-off depot nearby, and we will tell you which one takes what. Everything else in a typical garage — furniture, timber offcuts, shelving, tires, scrap metal, e-waste, bagged clutter — is fine.
Do I have to sort it before you come?
No. Most garages get sorted with us standing there, because decisions are easier when someone is holding the box. If you would rather not be involved at all, mark what stays and we will clear around it.
