What the price covers
- Unplugging, and uncoupling washer hoses and dryer vents that are already accessible
- Appliance dolly work down stairs and through finished hallways without marking the walls
- Drop-off at a metal recycler, with fridges and freezers routed to a certified refrigerant-handling depot
- Cardboard, foam and pallet packaging from the replacement appliance taken in the same trip
Getting ready for the pickup
- Empty and defrost fridges and freezers a day ahead — meltwater in the truck is the one thing that makes a clean job messy.
- Turn off the water supply to the washer or dishwasher before we arrive. We uncouple existing connections, but we are not licensed to do gas or new plumbing work.
- Gas ranges must be disconnected by a qualified technician first. Once the line is capped, we take the range.
- Photograph the path out, not just the appliance — a stair turn or basement bulkhead is what decides whether we need two people.
Appliance removal in Surrey: what to expect locally
- Multiple appliances price as a load, not per unit — a full kitchen swap-out is usually a quarter load.
- Renovation pickups: we can take the old appliances and the cabinet and countertop debris in one visit.
- Gas ranges need the line capped by a qualified technician before we arrive; once capped, the range goes.
- Metal goes to a recycler; sealed cooling units go to a certified refrigerant depot, eco-fee included.

Appliance removal questions from Surrey
We are replacing a whole kitchen. Is it cheaper to book everything at once?
Clearly, yes. Four appliances plus their packaging is a quarter load, which prices well below four single-item pickups, and it is one visit instead of four. If the cabinets and countertops are coming out too, add them to the same photo — renovation debris and appliances load together fine.
Can you take an appliance from a Cloverdale acreage outbuilding?
Yes, and there is no travel surcharge for the east side of Surrey. What matters is the ground between the building and where the truck can stand. Send a photo of that path — soft ground, gravel and a long carry are all workable, they just tell us whether to bring a second pair of hands.
Do fridges and freezers cost extra because of the refrigerant?
No. Sealed cooling units carry an eco-fee at the depot because the refrigerant has to be reclaimed by a certified handler, and that fee is already inside the price you are quoted. The one thing we cannot do is take a unit whose lines have already been cut, since the refrigerant is gone and the depot will refuse it.
Can you disconnect the appliance, or does it need to be ready to go?
We unplug, uncouple a washer's hoses and pull a dryer vent that is already accessible. Anything needing a licensed trade — gas lines, hard-plumbed water, electrical rewiring — has to be handled before we arrive. If in doubt, send a photo of the connection and we will tell you which side of the line it falls on.
