What the price covers
- Bed frame and headboard disassembly, with the hardware bagged if you are keeping the frame
- Plastic wrapping on request so nothing brushes your walls or carpet on the way out
- Delivery to a mattress recycler where the mattress is dry and undamaged
- Box spring, slats and metal rail removal in the same visit
Getting ready for the pickup
- Strip the bedding — sheets and duvets are not recyclable with the mattress and are usually worth keeping or donating separately.
- A dry mattress can be recycled; a mattress that has been sitting in a wet carport or on a lawn generally cannot. Move it indoors or under cover if you can.
- If you are buying a replacement, ask the retailer whether haul-away is included; if it only covers a swap on delivery day, we can handle the odd-day pickup.
- Flag suspected bed bugs when you book so the piece gets wrapped before it leaves the room.
Mattress removal in Surrey: what to expect locally
- Two or three mattresses is a minimum load, not three single-item charges — check both prices before booking.
- Newton, Whalley and Guildford suite turnovers: we can take the beds and the rest of what the tenant left in one visit.
- Carport and side-yard storage is common in Surrey; a mattress that has been rained on cannot be recycled, so bring it inside if you have notice.
- Bed frames, slats and metal rails come apart and travel with the mattress at no extra charge.

Mattress removal questions from Surrey
I have three mattresses from a suite turnover — is that three single-item charges?
No. Three mattresses with their box springs and frames fit inside a minimum load, which prices lower than three separate single-item pickups. That is the whole logic of pricing by volume: the second and third bed cost you very little. Send one photo of them stacked and we will quote the load size rather than the item count.
Do you go out to Cloverdale and the acreages east of 176th?
Yes, at no travel surcharge. The only thing worth flagging is where the mattress actually is — barns, shops and detached suites on acreage mean a longer carry to the truck, and we would rather know from a photo than discover it on arrival.
Are mattresses actually recycled, or does that just mean landfill?
In Metro Vancouver mattresses are handled separately from general waste: the foam, fibre, steel springs and timber frame are stripped and sent to separate streams. That is where a mattress goes when it is dry and intact. Wet, mould-damaged or bed-bug-wrapped mattresses have to go to disposal instead, and the regional facilities charge a per-mattress surcharge — that fee is already inside the price we quote you.
Can you take just the box spring, or just the frame?
Yes. A box spring or frame on its own is priced the same as a single item. If you are keeping the mattress and only replacing the base, say so when you send photos so we do not budget space for both.
