What the price covers
- Carry-out from any floor, including stairs, elevators and tight hallway turns
- Disassembly of sofa beds and sectional connectors when a doorway is too narrow
- Removal of the metal frame and springs for scrap recycling
- A clear look at the space the couch was sitting in
Getting ready for the pickup
- Measure the narrowest doorway or stair turn and mention it when you send photos — it changes how we plan the carry, not the price.
- Sofa beds weigh two to three times a normal couch. Tell us it is a pull-out so we bring a second pair of hands.
- Clean, stain-free, smoke-free couches are worth offering to a charity first. We will tell you honestly if yours is a donation candidate.
- Loose cushions and throws can go in a bag; they load faster than piece by piece.
Couch removal in Burnaby: what to expect locally
- Metrotown, Brentwood and Lougheed towers: tell us the parkade clearance height. Under about 2.6 m we work from street level rather than the bay.
- Older Burnaby walk-ups near Edmonds and Kingsway rarely have elevators; stairs are included in the price.
- Burnaby Heights and Capitol Hill homes: driveways are steep in places, so we may back in rather than turn around on the street.
- Couches from Burnaby go to the regional transfer station; metal frames and springs are pulled for scrap recycling.

Couch removal questions from Burnaby
Can your truck get into my Metrotown parkade?
Sometimes. Most residential parkades in the towers around Metrotown are signed between 1.9 and 2.1 metres, which is too low for the truck. When that is the case we park at street level or in the loading zone and carry from the service elevator lobby — it adds a few minutes and nothing to the price. Send a photo of the clearance sign if you are not sure.
Do you take couches from Burnaby rental suites between tenants?
Yes, and end-of-tenancy timing is usually the real constraint. If a couch has to be gone before a move-out inspection, book it a day or two ahead of the walkthrough rather than the morning of. We can also clear the rest of what the tenant left in the same visit — that is priced as a small load rather than per item.
Do you take couches with pet damage, stains or bed bugs?
Stained, torn and pet-damaged couches are routine — they go to the transfer station rather than donation. Tell us up front if there is any chance of bed bugs so we can wrap the piece before it moves through your home, and note that wrapped items cannot be donated or recycled.
Will the couch fit back out the door it came in?
Usually, though not always in the same orientation. If the room was framed after the couch was delivered, or the piece was assembled inside, we can take off legs, back panels and sectional connectors. If it truly cannot come out whole, we will ask permission before cutting the frame down.
