Furniture Removal in Richmond, BC

Richmond furniture removal is mostly suite-sized. A Brighouse or Lansdowne condo changing hands sheds a bed, a dresser, a dining set and a desk in one go, and all of it has to leave through one service elevator inside a booked window — so we plan the order of the carry before we start rather than making four trips. Steveston and Seafair houses give us a garage and a driveway, which is faster. Anything clean and structurally sound gets kept separate in the truck so it can be offered for donation; particleboard flat-pack, and upholstery with stains or smoke exposure, will be refused at the door and we will say so up front.

Know the range before we come. Know the exact price before we lift.

What the price covers

  • Flat-pack and bed-frame disassembly where a piece will not clear the doorway
  • Separate handling for donatable pieces, which travel unstacked so they arrive usable
  • Glass tops, mirrors and marble handled and disposed of separately from the general load
  • Careful removal, right down to the dust line the piece leaves behind

Getting ready for the pickup

  • Empty drawers and shelves. A loaded dresser is heavier than it looks, and the contents almost always include things you meant to keep.
  • Decide in advance what is donation and what is disposal — we can keep the two apart in the truck, but only if you tell us before we load.
  • Particleboard flat-pack furniture rarely survives a move and is not donatable; solid wood, in good condition, usually is.
  • If you are staging or selling, book the pickup for the day before photos rather than the morning of.

Furniture removal questions from Richmond

Can you empty a Richmond condo inside a two-hour elevator booking?

A one-bedroom, comfortably. A two-bedroom with a dining set is tighter but usually fine when we know the layout in advance — that is the reason we ask for photos of the rooms rather than just the pieces. If your building only grants one hour, tell us and we will bring a second person rather than risk running over.

Will my furniture actually get donated?

If a charity will accept it, yes, and we keep those pieces unstacked so they arrive usable. What we will not do is imply a donation to soften the quote. Solid wood in good condition, working desks and intact dining sets are realistic; particleboard flat-pack and any upholstery with staining, damage or smoke exposure are not, and those go to the transfer station.

Do you donate furniture instead of dumping it?

Where a piece is clean, structurally sound and actually wanted, yes — we keep it separate in the truck so it arrives in a condition a charity will accept. What we will not do is promise a donation to make a quote feel better: upholstered items with stains, damage or smoke exposure and most particleboard furniture get refused at the door, and those go to the transfer station.

Can I add pieces on the day if I find more?

Yes. Load size is confirmed on arrival before anything is lifted, so if you have found two more chairs since sending photos we re-price then and there and you approve it before we start. There is no change fee — the volume simply moves up a tier if it needs to.
